The following statement is being released by Rush Limbaugh:



For over 20 years, I have illustrated the absurd with absurdity, three hours a day, five days a week. In this instance, I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke. I think it is absolutely absurd that during these very serious political times, we are discussing personal sexual recreational activities before members of Congress. I personally do not agree that American citizens should pay for these social activities. What happened to personal responsibility and accountability? Where do we draw the line? If this is accepted as the norm, what will follow? Will we be debating if tax payers should pay for new sneakers for all students that are interested in running to keep fit? In my monologue, I posited that it is not our business whatsoever to know what is going on in anyone's bedroom nor do I think it is a topic that should reach a Presidential level. My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices.

I find it totally unbelievable that a president of this country, or anywhere for that matter, would call a citizen and discuss, basically, what she does in the bedroom, in an attempt to discredit one of his most vocal opponents. What depths will this cnc drop to just to garner a vote.

This mornings paper said he did it in an attempt to " reach out to the younger voters ".
BHO did succeed in Rush losing three of his sponsors. I don't see that being an issue. I believe folks will line up to sponsor him, one way or the other.

The last time we had sex discussed by the white house, it was Ms. Lewinsky wanting to get recommendations for removing spots from her dress.

How frustrating. People in this day don't know what it is to have it rough. That girl has now played the "Damsel in distress" and all of the attention has went from the original focus (her blattent attempt to brainwash the majority in agreeing with her liberal view points) to something that was said by another person (Rush in trying to defend the right wing stance through being absurd back). She seems assertive in combating what Rush said, but she is only that way because of the support of the left wing. However, if everybody had integrity and brought it to her attention that the moral fiber of our country does not support her view point about her life style and did not stand with her, she would be singing a different tune. However, the liberal media only shows the liberal side which in turn creates the liberal snowball of support. It is no surprise to me that out of all the people interviewed they all agreed with this lady. That is because the media picks and chooses whom they put in front of the camera. I wish they would have had me in front of that camera because I would have correctly identified her the same way Rush did.

I think Rush apologized because he just flat caved in from the media pressure. I don't walk in his shoes so I wont judge him and I am certainly a Rush fan. I would like to say this, by Rush apologizing it makes the right wing side look as if we are wrong and we just are not. If we are going to win against the liberal down slide, there just has to be a point where we just flat dig our heels in and say enough is enough.

I have always made it a point to not apologize for Gods word, and I am not about to apologize for my right wing views that are my God given right.

Maybe I have missed something, but I never considered birth control to be a liberal vs conservative issue. Abortion, sure, but condoms and The Pill?

BTW: The US health insurance industry is happy to add birth control to their policies - at no extra cost! This is because it costs them more to pay for pregnancy and birth than it does to supply insured women with "the pill."

As for Rush's comments. Let's turn over the coin. Ask youself this: If Rush called your daughter, wife, girl friend, or Sarah Palin a "slut" would that be ok with you? If not, then he is deserving of your scorn.

Or the fact, that free contraception is provided by Planned Parenthood. Ms Fluke didn't know this? I guess University entrance qualifications leave no idiot behind?
