the average condom costs .20 cents, the average pill costs about a buck a day. so where did this woman come up with needing $1,000 a year?

that's 5,000 condoms, probably more if you bought in bulk

Rush is a major spokesman for the GOP/Right. Whatever Rush says is attributed to the Right wing of the GOP. And Rush has turned off a lot of independant voters (men and women).

It seems to me that Rush is President Obama's best friend.

Sad to say lots of men posting here seem to agree with Rush, and have jumped on the insulting 'sex crazed slut' band wagon. Maybe I'm too old for these times, but back in my day a conservative man was a gentleman.

45Auto, did you read this? ^^^
Fluke is a Fake! A shill for Obama and Pelosi, "prostituting" herself out to the left wing socialist cause.
The "tramp" comments here are tongue in cheek, because it was obvious from the start she was a fake.

yes i am loath to critic a woman most times but when they come in this shape and form , use their "sex" to lie , cheat and steal they are just a fraud and what sex they are no longer matters

what about that "poor woman " in LA who is now being chased by veterans after posting on a military web group about being a veterans widow with 3 kiddies and abandoned by the military , they sent her well over $100,000

"she" is a transgender illegal with no kiddies , not a "widower" her husband's team mates where all part of some pro mexican , anti american group in LA , ( not one is a veteran, but all are "undocumented travellers" ) who are now crying "victim of military attacks" even though they aint been found yet and who have somehow got the state of california to change their ID's without ever facing a charge for fraud ??

think she is above it all too ??

sex is not a issue in criminality , fraud , or lies

your then just a criminal a fraud or a liar in my book

yes we dont punch them out like men , but they still must be dealt with or whats next ??

Back in your/my day, women with any self respect, didn't get on national TV and broadcast their sex life. In fact, I'm betting your history includes the same as mine, sex wasn't discussed at all by females.

They only way to find out what was up with them, was to hear it from a " kiss and tell " friend.

Of course, we all knew about Mustang Sally. Right?

I have all the respect due for any female who conducts herself properly. She could be the biggest pig in the neighborhood, and still show some class. That, I respect.

She not only disrespected herself, but every family member, and every close friend of her parents. How embarrassing for them that 15 minutes of fame must have been.

Gentlemen (and ladys) of the firearms forum:

Are we talking about the same broadcast? To be sure of what I heard, I listened to Sandra Fluke's speach again on Youtube.

At no point during the speach does the young woman talk about her sex life.

The young woman is talking about insurance for women's reproductive health. Those of us with wives, daughters, mothers, women friends, girlfriends, etc, have a stake in wanting the women and girls we love to be healthy. Without regard for the political party of the speaker; and you may not agree with what she has to say, the speach is entirely appropriate and topical.

Of course, I could be in error for I'm not infallible. In case I have missed something the speach I watched is included for your review:

Best regards,

No harm meant, but what does birth control have to do with keeping any female " healthy "?

Ensuring a females good health are not what they are designed to do.

Raven, about as much as treating a fetus as a tumor.

Some folks think it's healthy to plan pregnancy. Otherwise, instead of buying a box of ammo you will be out buying a box of Pampers. Or, worse, the girl will be out looking for an abortion.

Birth controle pills are also necessary for some women to take who are susceptable to endometriosis and other illnesses. Ms. Fluke talked about that in her speach.

AP) New mothers in the U.S. are increasingly older and better educated
Quote:
than they were two decades ago, according to a study on the state of American motherhood released Thursday by the Pew Research Center.
But that doesn't mean women are waiting for the right moment: The study also found that half of mothers surveyed said parenthood "just happened."

While most women giving birth are doing it within the context of marriage, researchers said a record 41 percent of births were to unmarried women in 2008. That's up from 28 percent in 1990, according to the study, "The New Demography of American Motherhood." The trend crossed major racial and ethnic groups.

Nearly 14 percent of mothers of newborns were 35 or older two years ago - and only about 10 percent were in their teens. The age trend was reversed in 1990, when teens had a 13 percent share of births.
Not a lot of planning going on, it seems. Forty-one out of a hundred are born w/o the benefit of their father's last name. And 13 out of a hundred are to teenie boppers. And those numbers will grow again. It seems marriage is no longer an In Thing to do.

Quote:
Endometriosis is typically seen during the reproductive years; it has been estimated that endometriosis occurs in roughly 5–10% of women.[1
In those cases, birth control pills can ease the pain of the scaring, temporarily, and that's a good thing.
