hollow base helps thew low pressure rounds obturate and seal the bore better. I use the HB 100 gr RN in my .380s.

According to Berry's website, the longer "skirt" or bearing surface on the HBRN engages more of the rifling and helps to stabilize the bullet better. Loading data should be the same as any case volume lost to the longer bullet is compensated for by the hollow under the bullet. I'd think that a sub-3 inch barrel could use as much help as you could give it.

Welcome to the forum bobnoffs, and you also korny351. The hollow base is the exact .380 bullet that I load for my Sig P238. It works very well and is accurate.

I am glad that you asked that question. I had been using Berry's 100 gr bullet, flat base, and wondered about that hollow base bullet. With the good recommendation, I will switch over to the hollow base. Thanks.
