Default Report: CIA to spy on Americans using household items

The last I heard, the CIA could not spy on Americans. It's the FBI's job. Apparently I'm misinformed. Keep an eye on your new microwave, it could be keeping an eye on you.

I step in it here, I guess. I liked Tenet, personally. A lot of the folks who were working in DC, walked when bHo was elected. Tenet would have been fired by now if he'd still been on the job ( he left in 04 ).

per Lt. Gen. Michael DeLong Deputy Commander, CENTCOM, 2000-2003:

Quote:
Is the Agency a broken place today?

I do not think that the Agency today is nearly as dependable, efficient or reliable as it was under George. I think they've lost an awful lot of top quality people. You know the old saying, "The strongest swimmers are the first off the boat." ... Absolutely top drawer [people are] gone. ... [Tenet] hung in there tough as long as he could, and then [Porter] Goss came in and brought with him his people, and that was the end. ...
This is a good read if there's any interest:

I remember when the 'intelligence czar' Blair was his last name got thrown under the bus by Obama after the times square bomber (fizzle shazam) had his plot spoiled by a tee shirt seller.

in Blair's exit speech he said it was 'a shame there is no real cooperation between agencies, particularly the C.I.A.' the last word got my attention because at the time the Obama administration was contemplating prosecuting C.I.A. interrogators for 'war crimes'. I don't think I'd give the administration much cooperation either!

You mean the same outfit that tried to get Castro to smoke exploding cigars, and organized the Bay of Pigs fiasco?
