Ruger SR 1911 - The Firearms Forum

Was at one of the new retail gun shops opened by a mall today and got to hold a SR1911. What a nice gun. He wanted $759.99 for it and a take or leave it attitude.. Are these still selling for that much or is he just being greedy?

He is greedy because they are so hard to get. The dealer cost is 535.00 so at that price he is making a bundle. But, I guess people are paying it because they are scarce. I wouldnt pay it but it depends how bad you want it.

Yep, and I am going to order my SR1911 through Dan along with a bunch of brass and other stuff.

You need to see what he can do for you.

I'm gonna have to trade something in, unless I wait til tax time , if I have cash I'll pm Dan I did a while back but the gun I was looking for was discontinued had to go to the auction site

As soon as my student loan is paid for, it's SR1911 time. Dan will be working to get my SR1911. He will feel my excitement all the way from Meridian, Idaho. He will feel my boots quakeing. He will hear my teeth chattering. Yes he will be working for me. He will be making phone calls and writing letters to important people. He will make it happen. Yes, I will have my Ruger!!! And he can even shoot it before he sends it.
