Members of Congress are pushing new legislation calling for everything from gun control to restrictions on neighborhood watch groups.

The crown is fallen [from] our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned! 21. Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old. |

Come July 9th, none of it may matter. That's the date the UN gets all the backers of a treaty that takes all weapons of any kind away from the citizens of their country. As of this morning, there are in excess of 700 different groups who are going to state their reasons for total UN control of privately owned weapons.
The only thing we " may " have going for this country is, the fact that it's being held in July. If it is signed off on by bHo, I think any possibility of his reelection goes straight down the tubes. He and his subjects must know that. If it is signed, it will never go away unless a future president takes us out of the UN. And that's not going to happen, ever.

I'm not so sure that they can do that now, without a Constitutional Amendment. Given the Supreme Court decisions in DC and Illinois that stated the Second Amendment is an individual right, no treaty or foreign agreement/body can overrule that (at least without a socialist in office).

We should have gotten out of the UN years ago. Being born a free man I have the right to protect myself and family. The 2nd amendment did not grant me that right it merely identified that it existed. I am not for a demostration of our means to defend ourselves from enemies foreign and domestic, But if I had any weapons not saying that I do, I would be inclined to use them if I was threatened.

It's the same kind of reactive law making that got the UK into its present gun-less situation. It's an election year, and the dummycrats are following their leader's admonition to let no crisis go unexploited. |
