Default New Grips from Carl!!

Ok, about 2 weeks ago I got with Carl (woodnut) to make me some custom grips for a compact 1911 since I happen to have a few of them. I picked out some Arizona desert ironwood burl and the rest is history! I got them today in the mail and I dont know if the pictures do them justice, but they are the absolute nicest grips I have ever seen or owned and I absolutely love them! Thanks Carl! Anyone wanting a super nice set of grips should get in touch with Carl.

Dan, those are some very nice grips.

I tried to get Carl to send them to me and even offered to change my name to something else to match the initials.

It didn't work.

I have 3 guns they will fit so I can change them around, but they look good on this flashy one.

Very nice touch. I am sure it will make it shoot better too. The best part of 1911's is the ability to custom make it yours. Enjoy.

Dan I told Sam he would have to change his name to Double Dumb, then the grips might work for him.

I need to say Thanks Dan for the nice set of pictures and the kind words. I'm so glad you like them. Some of the nicest ironwood I'v seen in a while. It really has the burl, and hard as a rock.

Amazing work; that is one of the sweetest combinations I have yet to see. Those really pop on the stainless! Now we need a pix of that huge grin while youre shooting it Dan!

Dan, that pistol is plain ugly. Why don't you let me take it off your hands,,, oh no, no, no. Really, it's ok because it's the least I can do. What else are good friends for?
