And don't be calling my Highboy a Tallboy either. Also, my Vaquero is an Old Vaquero and not a New Vaquero. The new Vaqueros are just a little too small for my hand.Alpo, I love those hog legs you have. Out of all of my revolvers I have 4 sets. 2 sets of Old Model .22's, 1 set of 44's (just like your Bisleys, one is blued and one is SS), and two 50 year anniversary .357's. I doubt my actions are not as primo as yours. I like those two Italian revolvers especially. |

funny thing about the 'new vaqueros' they actually changed the grip frame to the original XR3 grip frame used when they first came out in the early 90s. The one I used to have had the XR3-red grip frame which is nice and fat and fits all the cool aftermarket grips available for them.

I've had a few SA over the years but have gotten rid of them and to be honest, never really missed them til you guys start showing off your iron. Now I regret letting them go.
Way to go guys. Nothing is quite as bitter as regret. |

Those are the ones I've got pictures of.
Also got a pair of USAF Rodeos, 5 1/2" 44/40, pair of 4 5/8" 32 magnum Rugers. Then the singles - Super Blackhawk, 30 Carbine Blackhawk, 6 1/2" 41 Blackhawk, 3 1/2" Uberti Thunderer, 45 Colt, 7 1/2" Uberti 7th Cavalry, 45 Colt, 6 1/2" Uberti S&W Russian, and a Smith 38 Single Action, 2nd Model. Plus 4, I think, 5 1/2" Single Six 22s - 1 flat gate, 2 3-screws and a New Model. Think that's all my single actions. The Super and the Russian. ![]() Found a pic of the 30 Carbine. ![]() I bought those ASMs when I first got interested in Cowboy. Them, along with a pair of Dakota 45 Colts in 4 3/4 and a 4 3/4 32/20. But the Dakotas didn't balance right - barrels too short. So they went away. 32/20 balance sucked - too much metal around too small holes. This is it. ![]() Swapped it for a New Service in 38/40. Here's the baby shooting it. ![]() Used to have a 4 5/8 OM Single Six, but it was the one I taught my daughter to shoot with, so I gave it to her, a couple of years ago. This one the grandbaby's got. ![]() And I see the Thunderer is in here, along with the Super, in the Pile-o-Guns. ![]()

Wilson Shoals Wildlife Management Area, north of Atlanta. Hard to find a place that will let little kids shoot.

That is too bad because it should be promoted for kids to shoot. The way your baby grand daughter is holding that revolver is how my grand kids hold them because their hands are so small. However this weekend the 14 year old who has a small build finally was able to fully grip the guns.

I have a couple of the original Ruger Vaqueros, a 5 1/2 and a 4 5/8ths both in the blue/color case hardened look.
I get them out once in awhile when my Sons & the Grandkids come out. We just shoot CAS (cowboy) loads in them. The kids love it.

Nice group of SAs my friend!
I have but two, an Uberti Patron .357 with 5.5" barrel and a Taylor/Uberti .45 Colt with 4 5/8" barrel. Dam, I love them both!

When I was young all I could aford to buy were single actions (semi-auto were too expesive) so when I got older and could afford it I bought semi-autos. Now I want more single actions and they are almost too expensive to buy! Go figure, a day late or a dollar short is the way I figure! Or buy high and sell low!!
