Default Walther P38 9mm

Well this is the third time today i've tried to make a post and the other two were droped, lost in space.
Today I bought a Walther P38 in 90% condition. Broght it home and cleaned it . All parts fit tight and snug. The gun looks great. I bought 100 rounds of 9mm luger for the range tommorrow.

looks like a post war Alloy frame with the standard slide. Use only 115 gr standard velocity ammo. no +P or NATO Ammo as your gun does not have the HEX pin or fat slide.

Nice looking piece Deacon. Have been eyeing one myself. Did you happen to get yours from Classic Arms?

No, I bought it from a fellow here in North Texas. I took it to the range today and it sure shoots good.

I am not sure what effect the ammo has to do with the hex pin since it is only to prevent excess wear on the frame when the slide is returning to battery. Still, that advice to use standard ammo is always a good one, even in those guns supposedly made for +P.
