I have no superior knowledge of prophetic scripture. Understanding prophetic scripture makes one an "elitist" only to those who don't understand prophetic scripture and resent those who do. Scripture doesn't contradict scripture Double D, scripture contradicts you. Luke 12:56.."You Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and sky, but you don't know how to interpret the present time ? (time "frame" to you) I don't challenge the foundation of anyone's salvation and faith in the Lord. I challenge those Christians like "yourself" that the Lord prophesied about in 2 Peter 3:3..Knowing this first, that in the LAST DAYS mockers will come with their mockery". It's the mocking character and abominate witness of "Christians like yourself" in defense of your unrepentant pride and ignorance that make me want to "puke".

i'd rather my way , i dunno , honest , it could be tonight ( got 100 MPH winds comin ) it could be 75 years from now , and maybe this will make it worse but ya know , i dont care when it happens , cause to me thats for God to call , i got things to do here now that require my attention and i dont think my time should be spent worrying why God aint done this or that yet

theres homeless veterans and aged pensioners

theres hungry folks

theres sick and injured who need a hand

these are the things Jesus asked his followers to look after until He returns

and only He knows when that'll be

so i think its a waste of my time and efforts to try to figure it out

when i have clear instructions to follow on what i should do ..

I/We are probably just misunderstanding you, there is no way you are as arrogant in real life as you come across here, do you think you can really interpret the bible like that? It sounds like you think you can.
1 Eyed Jack is understandable. If you had two eyes and half a brain to go with your sarcastic BS you might not have missed the numerous amount of Christian book stores everywhere for the past couple of decades stocked with hundreds of books full of knowledge interpreting the prophetic scriptures. So no, I can't interpret the Bible like that, I learned from those far more intelligent than myself who have interpreted the Bible like that. It's called reading, searching, and studying. If you're too lazy to leave your cave all you have to do is Google all the smarts you lack, no excuse to remain stupid any longer, seriously.

My grandfather raised me in a very religious setting ( non radical ). If he overheard me talking to another person in the manner above, he would have washed my mouth out with soap for being so arrogant.

I don't get involved in religious discussions normally ( his teachings ).

If I had, he would have instructed me to be sure when I went to confession, to tell the priest to ask God for his forgiveness for my arrogance.

Pride Goeth Before A Fall:

Quote:
It means that the next step after being all puffed up with arrogance could be falling flat on your face.

'Pride comes before a fall' means that one becomes over confident and stops thinking sensibly when success goes to one's head and which is a sure indication of the fact that that person is bound to suffer or face disappointment because of the wrong decisions that he or she might make.

In other words too much arrogance and self pride are sure to bring bad and disappointing results. This idiom is also given as an example to prove that when a person is destined to fail or fall, which is decided by the almighty God, then no one can stop that person from taking the wrong step and making a wrong decision, despite the fact that apparently that person is not expected to do such a thing under normal conditions.

1 Timothy 2:5.."For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus".

Religion is man getting to God man's way, any way except Christ. Christianity is man getting to God, God's way, through Christ ONLY.

Did your grandfather give you any other instructions to "contradict scripture" in that "very religious setting"? Arrogance to you pal, truth to me, and I could care less what you think.

Just happened to pull up this thread. Not bothering to go back to read previous page..no need to, I've seen enough to make my comment. Python, it is one thing to speak truth to ignorance, which is what I assume you think you are doing, it's quite another to be rude and overbearing.

I will say this for the last time, your interpretation of when the Bible says the rapture will occur has nothing to do with saving faith. It is your opinion, period. What part of "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only" don't you understand?

"But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only"

"But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only"

I would suggest you tone it down a bit, you are way out of line. An apology is in order though I don't expect we'll see one.

This spooked me a bit. In fact, I didn't want to ask what he meant, so I didn't.

Scary guy.

That is exactly what's wrong, we think that the muslims that are killing and raping are extremists when in fact they are the muslims that are correctly living how mohammad told them to live.
