Take away all the hype, and Obama has a far better 2nd Amendment record than Romney.

I'm reminded of the dire warnings about what would happen if Obama (or any Democrat) was elected president in 2008. Well????? Even with 2 years of Democratic controle of the House, Senate and Presidency, there were no gun bans, nothing. Well, there was one thing; Obama and the Democrats made a new law that concealed carry was ok on Federal park land. Obama's 2nd Amendment record shines next to that of Mitt.

If his past is any indication of future conduct, if Mitt is elected the 2nd Amendment is in trouble. If Obama is re-elected the 2nd Amendment is safe.

It was Governor Ronald Reagan of California who signed the Mulford Act in 1967, "prohibiting the carrying of firearms on one's person or in a vehicle, in any public place or on any public street." The law was aimed at stopping the Black Panthers, but affected all gun owners.

Twenty-four years later, Reagan was still pushing gun control. "I support the Brady Bill," he said in a March 28, 1991 speech, "and I urge the Congress to enact it without further delay."

One of the most aggressive gun control advocates today is Republican mayor Rudolph Giuliani of New York City, whose administration sued 26 gun manufacturers in June 2000, and whose police commissioner, Howard Safir, proposed a nationwide plan for gun licensing, complete with yearly "safety" inspections."

Look at the alternative, Rom Paul feared by all party politicians on both sides of the aisle because he is right and they are wrong.

Obama can only get away with all of his executive initiatives because Congress lets him get away with it. We need to dump most of the Democrats and most of the Republicans and replace them with independents who are not in the pockets of the lobbyists. We need people who actually believe in the constitution and not just pay lip service to it.
