Could be a very dirty gas tube. Or, if you've changed or removed/replaced your gas block, the holes might not be aligned completely.

Hope the factory ammo wasn't Wolf....it fails in many AR's.
What make AR is it?

What kind of AR is it? Is it a gas impingement system or a gas piston system? I had the same problem with my Bushmaster gas piston AR a while back. I had the gas plug in it upside down or backwards or something pretty stupid. After getting it in right, no more problems!!

I believe it's a yanky hill. I bought it off a local Craig lister. It wasn't wolf ammo. It's just a regular gas tube. I have a little over a 1000 rounds through it already. Now all of a sudden theirs problems

It has something to do with the gas system. Check the gas rings and make sure they are offset and not missing or something. If that's not it take the handgaurds off and check the tube from front to back and make sure it's not damaged or clogged.

Yeah YHM is a really top notch builder, gas problem sounds probable.

Something is not lubed properly or something is plugged or both.
I use Mobil 1 on the trigger group and moly grease on the bolt carrier and such. |
