Default COLT electronic sight

Does anyone know anything about this sight that a friend of mine owns?

Likely made to go on an AR-15.

Seem to remember them from about 30 years ago.

Likely made for Colt by a electronic sight maker just as they were becoming popular.

Is the a battery(s) inside of it? If so, what type?

Most definitely goes on an AR it uses two small dry cells that look like 1/3 of a AA
