It's all good Ryan. See this thread was an apology for a thread drift, and it itself turned into a Cowboys, beer, and ice cream thread. See. No worries

From what I heard it's just marketed like that here in America, not really the go to beer in Australia. So what's the real deal Jack?

Ryan, JLA, 76highboy, terry, grizz et al;

The answers from the heart, the care and consideration from so many REAL people. The knowledge, professionalism, experience, (personal and mechanical) the willingness to share and to be so quick not to forgive but to never condemn in the first place.

Just a few of the reasons this is the place I love to hang out. As my granddad would say of those few, special people he would meet; the people you meet here are "ALL WOOL AND A YARD WIDE". For him there was no greater complement of a person.

I don't post much and lurk a lot. Don't have the knowledge or experience to share too often IMHO, LOL.
But my posts have never once been frowned upon nor condemned in any way and what I have done seems always to find someone who appreciates them, even my Agave plant pics.

Bottom line, I am not one bit surprised to see the responses to your apology Ryan and as we are after all, real, flesh and blood people who have at times experienced these life moments, No harm no foul my friend.

Remember also that if the "Maker" didn't want us to climb the mountains he would have made all their surfaces smooth. Keep up what you are doing, don't look back as there is plenty to do and to see with you and your shooting buddy going forward.

Ryan, one of the most cherished compliments I've ever gotten in my life came from Jack here. He told me in one thread that "I was worth bottling". So I had to look it up.

A mighty fine compliment from someone I respect as much as him.

At this time Ryan, I am formally extending that compliment to you.

Yer Worth Bottling Ryan. Honestly.
Never stop being you.

Hmmmm, haven't had a Foster's for awhile.

The ads say "Australian for beer", eh?

....and yes this place is cool with or without beer, and time for a cold one with my wife's grilled chicken burgers! HEY they're good.

Fosters was bought by brits 30 odd years ago and stopped using fresh hops in the mix the same time and its been a terrible beer ever since , lyon nathan then sold it to the japs and its been resold 5 times each time its a bee a marketing fail here in Australia , there is even a legal action here to stop them calling or using Australian with it but as "australia" was secretly trademarked by kraft foods we cant do that until we win that law suit ..

dont know too many aussies who drink it now , the local bottle shop (liquor store) dont even carry it ...

who wants fosters ?? not me
