Ok, so please don't flame me.
Do you know how many pics my old boss had of kids in washing machines. Granted these were top loads with no locks. The parents F'd up for sure, but they were probably just trying to be funny. No. I did not watch the video. I don't want to, I'd probably toss my cookies. The thought of my kids locked in a washer would haunt me all damn day. From reading the article, they panicked as soon as they realized the door was not gonna open. Not trying to defend them, but I can definitely see how it could happen

Please How the hell can one " definitely see how it could happen"?
The parents should have him and any other child taken away and placed with family. They should then both be sterilized so as they can't pass on the STUPID gene to any more children. What part of Putting your kid in a washing machine sounds OK to anyone unless they are so stupid that they can't figure out how to put their own cloths on. I am disgusted. Like I have said you have to have a Lic to do just about anything in the world except do the most important thing in the world have a child. If I were the attendant I would first gotten the child out. I would have them punched both mother and father in the face then called the dang cops on them. |

Tango, I'm disgusted too. Thats why I couldn't watch the video. I can see how it can happen, because I've been working with appliances for 15 years. And I've see a lot of people stick their kids into a top loader and have them stand there for a picture. My old boss had blown up pictures of his grandkids in washers up on the walls of the store.
I am not defending these people. What they did was stupid. The second they shut the door they became idiots.

Youtube pulled the video. I agree, born idiots. This is an example of passing generations getting dumber and dumber.

again, didn't watch it and wont. I don't need that image in my head while I'm working on someones washer. The article said the mom was amused at first. I'm just going off the article.
Let me ask you. Ever taken a big box and shut your kid up in it when playing around? Don't lie either. And yes I KNOW its not the same. These people are obviously not rocket scientists. I never defended these guys. All I said is I can see how it could happen. Screwing off gets people killed all the time.

I have a front loading washer that has a locking door.
Closing the door does not lock it. STARTING the machine does. Once it's locked, the only way it will let go is if ya stop it (or it finishes its cycle). Even then, ya have to wait about 30 seconds. There is clearly more to this story. ![]()

Why do I feel like I'm defending these idiots? I"M NOT. Stupid doesn't even come close. Please, I don't want you guys thinking I'm making excuses for these morons. I can see how it can happen, but that doesn't excuse it from happening.
