A PAKISTANI doctor who helped the US track down Osama bin Laden has been convicted of high treason and sentenced to 33 years in prison, according to an official.
Nasir Khan says Shakil Afridi was also ordered today to pay a fine of about $US3500 ($3500). If he does not pay, he will spend another three and half years in prison.
Khan is a government official in Pakistan's Khyber tribal area, where Afridi was tried.
Afridi ran a vaccination program for the CIA to collect DNA and verify bin Laden's presence at the compound in the town of Abbottabad, where he was killed last May by US commandos.
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has called for Afridi to be released, saying his work served Pakistani and American interests.

Pakistani officials charged Afridi with treason and aiding the enemy

They knew Osama was there all along. They were covering for him.

Absolutely they did. Neither Pakhistan nor Afghanistan is worth another dime in U.S. foreign aid or another soldiers life. Time to pack it up in my opinion.

It wouldn't surprise me to find that the US knew where he was too. I'm sure bHo's new movie won't go there. Nor will the truth about who leaked classified info to horrorwood to make the movie authentic.
