Default School makes today "Trayvon Day"

http://www.wjla.com/articles/2012/05...ool-76327.html

Quote:
In an effort to better educate students and their parents about race relations and social injustice, a D.C. elementary school has declared Friday “Trayvon Martin Day.”

Teachers at Malcolm X Elementary in Southeast are using the unfolding case and the story surrounding Martin as part of their "Let's Keep Our Children Safe" seminar.
...
Coleman said that every adult who attended the seminar would receive an Arizona Iced Tea and each student would get a bag of Skittles.

Why would you name a school after Malcolm X? A man who was a racist himself?

What a great idea but how about expanding that and just have an "Azz Hat- of-the-Month" award. Damn I'm tired of hearing about Treyvon. Yes it's a tragtedy, but it was his own bad choices that lead to his death. No one else is responsible and there is no one else to blame, with the possible exception of his parents.

Waiting for a visit now, from the HPOSIC.

race relations and social injustice,
Well, it's nice to once again read about the superior intelligence and insight of those folks who are responsible for our children's education. They have, as a group, decided Zimmermans guilty and are forwarding that information on to the kids ( I am sooooo sick of this crap ).

Quote:
Elementary Principal J. Harrison Coleman says that she hopes the lesson will help reduce the needless violence
You already know the 'needless violence' only applies if Zimmerman is found guilty. If not, violence is back on the agenda.

Ahhh, we've known all along they all drink that stuff. The first ones free.

hopes this day makes the students at Malcolm X understand that someone always cares
BS...all they wanted was to get their names pasted all over the media. They succeeded.

Now...just how did the media get that info?

For the record, AriZona ice tea is made in New York...
More grandstanding for political gain, nothing more.
