About that rain... We've been having a drought here. It is so dry that we don't allow really hot women to go outdoors for fear of wildfires starting.

I'm not seeing any posts from those coming that have made reservations. When I talked to the guy at the Antler Motel, in Gainsville, he said that there were no other rooms reserved.

nah carver. i think this is about it.
might get some snipers drop in but i cant promise them theyll be able to shoot until evening. if people sign up and be on time, i will bend over backwards for them. but once i go out with a squad, im commited to the squad and the world can just wait for me. it has to be that way or everyone suffers time wise.
and like i said in the 1st post, anyones free to come by and chew the cudd and have a soda or picnic. afterall, its an open house affair. i'll have the dvd/vcr running with some shooting tapes etc...so there will be some down time entertainment. i dont have a strong tv antenna to put on the club roof, so i dont have tv at the club. if i did, the converter would only get 5 channels out of springfield or west plains.

ryan is staying on the other side of the mountain and the others are local, carver. they can make it into vanzant with a short run.
7 looks like what its going to be.

gvw...carvers motel is 1 hr from me. hes coming up from the south, so its on his way up to me.
with you coming from chicago, youd have to go past me 1 hr thru some mountainous roads at night and track back 1hr the next morning.
your best bet is to meet up with ryan in mt. grove on ther north side of the boondocks. hes only 30 minutes max to me from there. you dont understand. gainsville has a field where trucks unhook their loads and theres a motel.....thats it! mt grove has humans.

Vanzant is an unincorporated community in northern Douglas County, Missouri, United States. It is located on Route 95 about thirteen miles south of Mountain Grove. Vanzant includes 2 convenience stores, one in Vanzant itself and two others within 5 miles west and south. There are a few houses there. A post office there burned down years ago. 16 people on the average live per sq mile of area.

yee ha!

95% of douglas county is dirt roads. im very fortunate to have a driveway on a state maintained tar road. granted, its 1 mile from turning to dirt roads, but at least it gets plowed in winter! all i have to do is plow 1/2 mile of dirt driveway to get to it!

bobski when I grew up I spent every summer at my Grandmother farm in Salem West Virginia. No 7-11's or the like around there. My son on the other hand will be new to this.

i know i know! but one winter and endless days of horse flies, cow flop clouds, and tornadoes will change that. oh and having to dig out septic tanks and drill 700 feet to hit water...only to have it go dry in 2 years aint fun either.

I cant wait to get out of chicago land.

My Grandmother water came from a very large wood barrel that filled with rainwater on top of the hill. It never went dry. Having to dig out a septic tank you must have had indoor pluming. Fancy.

Ryan I just looked over the motels in the town. Days in looks good.

Occasionally all the pieces of a well broken target will fly together in formation and actually appear to be an unbroken target.

25. An adult shooter cannot win a shoot-off against a Junior or Sub-Junior, and a male shooter cannot win a shoot-off with a female shooter.

26. Don’t worry about the effect of your poor shooting on the squad. The other members of your squad are just glad it isn’t them.
