27. If that new $20,000.00 gun you convinced your spouse you had to have doesn’t shoot better scores, go back to Old Reliable. You know, he or she will understand.
28. There is a 99% chance that you will miss a bird, after correcting the scorer on a squadmate’s chip. |

the way it stands right now, if anyone is teatering on coming, but cant make up their minds and eventually just show up....fine. its an open house, youre more than welcome. we want you here! so come if you can.
but.... if you want to shoot and compete for the loading press, you must be one of the first 3 people to show up before 12 noon on 14 july to get on squad 2 and be the holder of a range card. in other words, the door for the competition to win the press closes at noon on saturday. if anyone shows up afterwards and just wants to shoot for giggles, earliest i can get you in is 2pm on your own. if one of my rangemasters is free, they can walk you thru the safety and basics. but i'll be tied up on the next field until 7pm. after the meet, anyone can shoot until 10pm under lights as well. and, if a whole hoard of you show up on sunday...12 noon range opens and you can shoot all you want and hoot it up with anyone still here. and remember, the tff party is the whole month of july. come anytime. using the list above, you can see just about everyone i invited to the tff meet. if you know someone in another room that may be interested but isnt aware of it, nows the time to pm them and ask them to read up on the sticky and decide if they can make it!
time to canvas the herd folks, before the door closes! Last edited by bobski; 06-28-2012 at 02:35 PM.. |

as you all know, the theme of this tff meet is shotguns and shooting. of course fellowship is going to be enjoyed, but as far as food, i just cant cook and run a match single handed.
so, here, this is a pic of the clubs kitchen. i have a gas stove, fridge, a hot plate, a wok, a crock pot, pot and pans, coffee machines, all the dishes, glasses, mugs, and silverware needed to entertain folks. i just need a cook. please note. there is no exhaust fan, so if what you cook is greasy and smokey, be for-warned. if you want to cook, bring your meats, fish, whatever and make yourself right at home. bring all your condoments and sides and have at it in the kitchen. (the wife an i observe kosher rules when eating as a side note.) but you guys....have at it and bring anything you want to keep you all fat and happy, to make up for your low shooting scores. ![]() ![]() Last edited by bobski; 06-28-2012 at 04:06 PM.. |

29. The other guys target will always be a perfect floating straight flyer that looks about the size of a pizza, your target will be a screaming diver about the size of a dime.
30. Just when the puller realizes you are the only one left on the squad who is straight in the event, they will fast or slow pull you one, whether they mean to or not. ---------------------------------------------------------------- I’ve been updating my club bylaws and I wanted to make sure I haven’t missed any officer positions that should be listed. My son and I went out to buy the shells for this shoot. Bobski had recommended #8 2 3/4 dram loads. We went every place around here and all they had were #7 and a few #8 heavy loads.
We finally stopped at a local gun shop and they had just 2 cases. We got them. There is a shortage of these in this area. To many people shooting clay's I guess.

Hey GVW3 I was thinking about something,my wife isnt going to come with me and Brandon so i was thinking about just pitching a tent at Bobski,s instead of getting a motel. Is that something you and your son would like to do or is that out of the question for you guys.Im not 100% decided on this I was just wondering what you thought.

im here in mo safe.
very hot. cabin ac was out. got it fixed today. club ac is working fine. and for anyone having issues with ammo, remember, i will swap across anything you bring for my custom 1oz reloads with little kick. if anyone pitches a tent, be warned, it is hot as h_ _ _ here. youre gonna wish you had a motel with ac and a nice cold shower. tent life will be 100% miserable and may ruin your shooting experience. I was thinking the same this BUT I have been in MO in the summer. Every time I go down there its super hot. We get hot in Chicago but at night it cools off. Down there it stays hot. bobski's last comment scared me.
My best friend lives in Farmington Mo.

I kind of skimmed through this, lots of shotgun and skeet talk. Anything besides scatter guns being shot? Don't know if I will be able to make the trip or not, but definitely won't if shotgunning is the only thing going. Doesn't interest me much, sorry.

I'm too old, and stiff for tent camping anymore, we will be staying in Gainsville, at the Antlers motel.
