following brands of 7.62x39 ammo: 1 - Brown Bear 2 - Silver Bear 3 - Tul ammo 4 - Golden Tiger 5 - Wolf I am getting ready to order a bunch of ammo and thought it would be better to ask about good/dependable brands in advance.. tia

Order wolf military classic. Second choice would be the Tulammo.
I dont have velocities, never cared to shoot any of it over the chrony. But the Wolf military classic is the most reliable ive tried of all the steel cased ammo. And tulammo is only second because it pretty much the same stuff in a different box.

I've used Wolf JSP before. This deer was taken with it. Like mentioned before, I bought what was cheapest at the time. With it being so cheap, I do not reload for that caliber.

if you like that gun though, you might want to have the capability to reload if needed though. 25$ set of dies and a box of 20 commercial loaded brass for emergency

Most AK variants are pretty hard on the brass, which is why i feel its wise to just buy a load of the steel stuff.

really? most shows here sell em 10 for 1$ in zip tied bundles.. buckets of them. last show I walked thru must have had a thousand of them like that.... there's a show at the end of the month in a city about 30 minutes north of me via interstate. it's a cheap 5$ entry show so I usually go up on a saturday morning and walk the show to window shop and site see while the wife is at exercise class....... if I see any there I'll grab a pack for ya.
