Question Iver Johnson relvolver questions

Hi new to the site today. I picked up a Iver Johnson breaktop and would like to know the caliber and date of build. It has exposed hammer, pat #s on bottom of butt, owls head grips with the owl looking at me. It is a 5 shot and the ser # under left grip is H 18943. also it it buit foir smoleless powder? Thank you very much........

Third Model Nammer, third variation, made in 1919. Caliber is .38 S&W. It should be OK for standard .38 S&W loads (NOT .38 Special).
