A long time ago I lost all interest in dehydrators and lining the oven when a guy told me how to do it fast.
Get 4 or 5 cardboard furnace filters 20" X 20" get a 20" box fan and 4 pieces of 4X4 about 4 inches long. Set the fan on top of the pieces of 4x4 so it is laying down on a table. put a furnace filter on top of that fan. I use a jerky blaster now but sliced meat works great too. Between the pleats of the filter shoot lines of jerky then add another filter on top going the opposite way. Stack 4 filters full of jerky and add another filter on top just in case any dust doesnt fall on the top layer. Use bungie cords to hole the filters to the fan and turn the fan on med or high let it run a day and check it until you get your desired dryness.
