That makes a SA revolver sound kind of messy to use. Or at least slow enough to get you shot. No?

I don't know of too many people who would carry a SA as a defense carry gun. However, for hunting, there is nothing like a 45 Colt Ruger Blackhawk sporting a 300gr flat nosed bullet at about 1175 fps. Sure does mess up a Russian Boars day in a hurry!

I have an old (30yrs) Ruger single six thats SA .22LR that will shoot from the hip cowboy style, just cock hammer back pull the trigger and hold it then just keep hitting the hammer with your palm. I would consider that more like covering fire as it's damn near impossible to hit your mark with the gun bouncing around like that
