SKS Stripper Clips - The Firearms Forum

Just got some new stripper clips for my Norinco SKS. Does any one know if a little light coat of SBGO would make a little easier to load and to slide in the mag?

Mine just got better the more you use them. I found a bunch I didn't even know I had and I don't own an SKS any more.

I would be very hesitant about oiling a stripper clip. Petroleum products and primers don't mesh real well. It would suck to oil the clips and then load them and stick 'em in a ammo can for a few months, and then when you go to shoot 'em you got a bunch of dead primers.

Take a spent cartridge and move it back and forth in the groove numerous times and it will serve the same purpose. Dead primers are never fun...
