Default Really 29.95 for a laser?

Visited the local Wal-mart tonight and in the sporting goods dept. I came across this laser, Center Point model CPO-427C for 29.95 and I thought this would fit on my Ruger 2245 pistol rail just fine. Then I saw the price 29.95!! Come on, a laser for 29.95?

Anyone here try one or have one on a gun? I nearly bought it but thought I'd better run it by the guys here and get some opinions from those who have used it before putting it in the cart and heading to the checkout!

Look it up at Wal Mart on line: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...roduct+Reviews Read the reviews. I think it might work well on a BB, or pellet gun, but the big question is will it hold up on a real gun? If you buy it, please let us know what you think of it for your use.

Lamentations Chapter 5:
1. Remember, O LORD, what is come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach.
2. Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens.
3. We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers [are] as widows.
5. Our necks [are] under persecution: we labour, [and] have no rest.
16. The crown is fallen [from] our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!
21. Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.

You got reviews on that page? On this confuser it says that page has 4 of the 6 reviews, but I can't find them, and when I click for the next page, to see the other two of the six, I get a notice that Walmart can't find that page.

Strange.

It should hold up to a 22 rifle fine. Might with a 22 pistol. Give it a shot. Hell, it's got a one-year guarantee. If it breaks, take it back. Folks can say what they will about Wallyworld, but they got great customer service.

Go here and read the reviews, most very positive.
Cheaper with free shipping to boot.

Correction; Shipping $7.99...brings it to Wally World's price.

I think I'll go to Wal-Mart and pick one up, I bought a Ruger LCP a few months ago that has a Laser Max laser and I like it a lot! I will put this on the 2245 and be done with it, if it works great if not...I can rest easier knowing I didn't spend 125.00 to find out it wasn't a good fit for the way I use this gun.

I've bought 2 lasers from Wally World over the years. The first one lasted about 10 years. The second one is still working after about 10 years. The trick is to avoid stripping the screws that adjust the windage and elevation. I actually replaced stripped hex head screws with regular Phillips head screws and it worked fine. It just didn't look so good.

Lasers are great for night time varmint work. A see through mount is a really good thing to have. I had just that setup on both of mine which both were mounted on a Marlin 60. I could nail a varmint night or day with that rifle. I've shot bats flying through the air aiming with a laser. I've done it without a laser too but it's much, much easier with a laser.

Probably the best thing about any laser is that you can practice your trigger pull and get any and all jerking and pushing out of your pull. You just put an empty case in the rifle and turn the laser on and point it toward anything and pull the trigger. You can see if the red dot moves when you pull the trigger. When you can keep that dot from moving you have mastered your trigger. And trigger pull is the most important aspect of accurate shooting. If you can't do that part you can't shoot accurate. It's worth the price of the laser just for that. You don't even need to zero it to work on your trigger pull. Just mount it for a while and practice your trigger pull then take it back off. It doesn't matter if it's zeroed. All that matters is being able to pull the trigger without moving the gun and that laser will tell you that if it's zeroed or not.

A freaking "laser"...have to add the quotation marks Dr Evil used.

I use Crimson Trace Lasergrips, incredibly tough and reliable system, and very easy to use. For training and varmint control, a cheap one like that might be absolutely perfect, go for it. Also dismount it and use it to torment, I mean, "exercise" the cats.

I bought a $69.99 one from CDNN a couple of years ago and have it attached to the bottom of my Sig P250. I have shot it with both .40 and 9mm without any problem. I know that is not a $29.95 one, but it is relatively cheap.

You want one for $19.99? Here you go: http://www.cdnninvestments.com/taspredmilar.html
