I just wanted to post some pics of my new holster that my girlfriend had made for my birthday. I think that it turned out great.

Definately some handy work there. That looks like it took her some time to make. She's definately a keeper.
I would caution you, though, that exposed trigger may not be the best idea. I'm sure you may be more than competent and aware of it, but I would personnally not care for it too much.

She did not make it I said she had it made. I carry it in my truck and some on my side when I am target shooting in my yard. It is a full sized 1911 and I am 6'1 and 170lbs I can not conceal it. It has a thumb safety and a grip safety and I do not carry it with the hammer cocked. I do not think the exposed trigger is an issue. I like it so if I have to pull it out and cock it I can be ready to go.

That is the old Texas Ranger style holster of the late 1930's. That holster will mean more to you than any that you could have ordered. I like it. I just made myself one very similar to it. I make my own holsters. This is the Austin pattern.
The hammer thong keeps it secure. |

Heck, I'm happy enough if the wife doesn't forever ask me what it costs; I'd fall over dead if she ever got me a gun gift on her own.
I'm happy enough with that Galco 1911 holster I ordered. |

I'm barely 5'8" but easily conceal a gov't 1911 and have been carrying a Glock 35 concealed lately. An ISW holster will allow you to conceal it quite easily. I don't much care for the exposed trigger either but she does looks purty!
