Per chance , is it a Iver Johnson rather than a Ivan Johnson. What caliber, is it a revolver,or a single shot. is it a solid frame or break action, is the serial number from the bottom of the trigger guard or from the left grip frame [ under the grips] , if under the grip, does it have a letter prefix? , the number under the grip is the true serial number, trigger guards can be changed. Pictures will be needed to offer you any valid information

Welcome to the forum. I'm guessing that you have one of Iver Johnson's solid frame .22 rimfire models? (Loads on right side and does not break open)
If so, in addition to what RJay lists is it a 7, 8, or 9 shot? |

typo
It is an Iver Johnson model 1900 22cal. 9 shot. the cerial number C14735 under the grip and matches the one on the triger guard. it does load from the right side, the cylinder can be removed by releasing the pin and sliding it out. I have had this gun for around 35 years, I inherited it from my great uncle. He passed away in 1977 at age 90. |

hope the pictures help.Looking for some history and value. Not sure what to do with this piece. ideally I woud like to find a collector that would appreciate it for its history.
Any suggestions? Last edited by TOM G; 07-05-2012 at 08:07 PM.. |
