I have an old .22cal target rifle and I wnat to put a scope on it.
The old scope mounts are 23" apart, I am looking for some kind of rail system for the new scope........any/and all suggestions welcome ![]()

only rail i know that may go 23 " are the mounts on a rapier missile loader |

I had a rifle once that had one of those old single power target scopes on it. It was very long. I would think that a talk with a gunsmith would lead to drilling and tapping for a modern base. Or, post some pictures here for some precise opinions.

My Bad....the original scope was 23" long......the barrel is date stamped 12-23-52......here you go
