You have every reason to be happy. Congratulations on a very nice addition. Give us a range report when you get a chance.

Thumbs up Got my new Ruger SR1911 today

I will be punching paper with this next weekend and will have a range report for everyone.

My wife and I went out today in search for a G.I. Joe doll but did not find one. We decided to stop in at Sportsmans Warehouse. She went to look at the clothes and I naturally went to the gun counter. I leaned up at the counter and began eying the 1911's when my friend Jim (gun sales associate) says wanna see the new Ruger 1911? My eyes must have lit up because he went to the next case and pulled it out. Needless to say, I bought it.

Now, what I need are holster recommendations. I want it for CCW. Comfort and acessability is mandatory.

Any suggestions.

Thanks,
Jr

How is the slide fit to frame feel,I looked at one the other day at my local gun shop, and I have to say that I was not impressed.I took a hold of the slide and could move it a good bit side-to-side had a lot of play, the trigger rattled and was loose, had a lot of slop.Hope your's is good to go.

Congratulations Highboy, Hope to see a range report on it soon, are you going to trick it out with some purple grips?

I checked the entire gun out before walking out with it. The slide has a tight fit and I must say it is as nice as any other factory slide that I have felt. The trigger does not rattle. Jim and I compared it to the Springfield 1911 TRP and the Ruger was just as nice in slide fit and trigger pull. I think the price tag on the TRP was around $1300.00, the Ruger was $699.99.

I still want to get a Springfield this next year.

Double D and JLA have gotten me addicted to the 1911. Thanks alot guys, your the best.

OOOOOH Wow, I could of had a Ruger....
That Ruger had my Finger Prints on it I was there Thursday. Did they still have the Ruger SR556LB? That is the one my son is after.

When I get confirmation on the Taurus Shipping. We can set up a shoot at The Gem County Range in Emmit

Nice weapon. You'll have to let us know how it groups.
