Colt .45 1911
Inherited a .45 ACP used by a U.S. Army doctor in China in WWII.
Serial No. 1713665. U.S. Property M1911 A(1?) U.S. Army.
Plastic grips. Has tiny "93" stamped on right side of trigger guard.
Left side trigger guard has "8" above a triangle with a "V" inside.
Seems to be in very good condition. Have what I assume is original leather holster with lanyard. I remember the doctor saying he carried it on horseback when he did his medical rounds.
On right side where grip joins frame is a faded stamp, circle with letters or symbol inside.
Any idea what it's worth?
