ANACONDA, Mont. --
Law enforcement officers in Anaconda are investigating
after someone put urine in a coffee can at the Anaconda-Deer Lodge courthouse and days later, spread feces on the coffee pot.
The Montana Standard reports two county employees are being tested for hepatitis A after they unknowingly drank the urine-tainted coffee on June 7.
Police Chief Tim Barkell says the culprit could face charges of felony assault.
The coffee machine and coffee were kept in the printer room of the county chief executive's office, meaning whoever committed the crime had to have keys to both the courthouse and that office.
Barkell says the locks have been changed.
The feces was found on the coffee pot on June 11. A foam cup containing feces also was found in a closet.
