Ryan, and Dad, these two verses are for you- Psalm 118:17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. 1 Peter 2:24...by Whose stripes WE WERE healed. Lean on the Lord, for He is able to take care of ALL situations and issues. Also, He is the only One Who can turn the awful around!

Heavenly Father, I come to you this morning with a request for Ryan and Old Semperfi.
Both of these men have wives that are afflicted with a dire illness. And there are others, Lord, that have not asked for prayer here as well.

Lord, in the beginning you said it was not good for a man to be alone, and you created woman to be his partner. I ask, father, that in keeping with those words you would bring healing to our spouses. I don't pray about the tools, I don't tell you what methods to use, I only ask for a healing. I have seen you heal heart disease. I have seen you heal cancer. There is no doubt that you can bring health to these, and I ask that you would do this.

But I also recognize, father, that this life on earth is a very minor part of our eternal existance. I know that we spend time here to learn things, to grow strong, and to be tested in our faith. If in your infinite wisdom you should graduate one of our spouses ahead of us, we will work very hard to accept that, father. We will do our best to continue to serve you without the continued help of the one you blessed us with for such wonderful years.

Have mercy, Lord -

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. My twin daughters just lost a good friend of theirs to cancer today. She was only 14.

I just wrote a 2 page post and erased it.Genny is still fighting for her life in the hospital.Its just plain hard what im going through.At 43 I would have never imagined having this going on.I figured it would have been when we were alot older.People in general havent got a clue what this is like.Some of you do if youve ever had a sick spouse then you know exactly how it is.Thats all I can really say without boring you all to death.Im going out in the garage in a bit and do some reloading and tommorrow im going to go shooting to relieve some stress.What else to do?

Not a lot mate

i lost my bride when i was early 30's , single father , soldier , did not know what to do

we expected me to bite it one day , we had plans in case even , life insurance , mortgage insurance even at the rates a soldier has to pay

we had it all covered then she took ill one cancer followed another , hospital to hospital to clinic to hospital to hospice ( where they go here when they cant help any more )

i'm praying you dont have to deal with that ..

There are no words, Ryan.

Many years ago, in childbirth, there were dire complications. The Dr. gave my bride a 50/50 chance of surviving it. For the next few hours, I was just numb. Then the crisis passed with her recovery. I cannot imagine that state of emotion lasting on and on, day after day.

better out than bottled up .. , But! dont forget you can always share your Burdens with The Good Lord get away from everyone and just talk to Him , helps a lot eh , but to other folks , it helps a lot
