So when I am 56 years old I will be able to hear again. Because it will be 20 years before it gets here.

Wrong. Cures will never be allowed here, especially a one time dose. Now if it was a pill to take everyday for the rest of your life it would be available next week.

My dad had prostrate cancer a few years ago and the doc said you can with take it out and be done with it or you can go threw Kemp and it might come back. My dad opted for removal. The doc prescribed cialis to increase blood flow to that area to aid in healing. He had to fight tooth and nail to get insurance to pay for it.
You guys are probably right that it will never come here cause it is not profitable. |

Check out the American Tinnitus Assn. http://www.ata.org/ There is no cure for tinnitus. The only way to reach that ultimate silence is by supporting ATA's research program. ATA gives you, the individual, the ability to invest in that collective goal of silencing ringing in the ears. I joined for 1 year about 30 years ago, I also would not send money but it's a good read. |

When a doctor (in Australia as I recall) discovered that a bacteria or virus in folks' stomach caused much of the stomach ulcers, the AMA and all doctors dismissed his finding.
They "knew" stress caused all stomach ulcers and they were making good money selling anti-stress pills. Turned out he was right: http://people.ku.edu/~jbrown/ulcer.html |

I've checked all over on this subject since my mother had it and I've had it bad for 4+ decades. I've been to top ear specialists, nothing.
15 years in steel mills and rock music hasn't helped any, Proven cures? None really, hopefully this other thing pans out. ATA will just give you the latest info, on money well I'll pass. A lot of super-rich and famous people have/had it and they can't buy a cure either, among them: » Neil Young – Singer » Barbra Streisand – Actress, Singer » William Shatner – Actor » David Letterman – Talk Show Host » Bill Clinton – American President » Tony Randall – Actor » Engelbert Humperdink — Musician » Steve Martin – Musician, Actor, Comedian » Leslie Nielsen – Comedian, Actor » Ronald Reagan – American President » Neve Campbell – Actress » Burt Reynolds – Actor » Sting – Musician » Liberty Divito — Billy Joel’s Drummer » Eric Clapton — Musician » James Hetfield — Metallica Rhythm Guitar Player » Lars Ulrich — Drummer for Metallica » Thom Yorke — Radiohead Lead Singer » Colin Greenwood — Radiohead Bassist » Thomas Edison – American Inventor » Graham Cole — UK actor and singer, suffers tinnitus and hearing loss » Sylvester Stallone — Actor » Bono — U2 Lead Singer » The Edge — U2 Guitar Player » Peter Jennings – News Anchor » Moby — Contemporary Rock Musician » Myles Kennedy — Contemporary Musician » Anthony Kiedis — Red Hot Chili Pepper vocalist » Al Jardine — Beach Boys Guitarist/Vocalist » Jerry Stiller – Actor, played Frank Costanza on “Seinfeld” » Florence Henderson – Actress, “The Brady Bunch” » Dwight D. Eisenhower – American President » Martin Luther — Philosopher » Joan of Arc — Revolutionary » Phil Collins — Musician » Cher – Musician/Actress » Morgan Fairchild — Actress » Cheryl Tiegs — Supermodel » Ozzy Ozborne — Musician » Huey Lewis — Musician » Don Imus – Radio personality » Vincent Van Gogh — Artist » Ludwig Van Beethoven — Composer » Charles Darwin – Scientist, Founder of the Darwin Theory » Mick Fleetwood – Musician, Fleetwood Mac » Keanu Reeves — Actor » Larry King – On-air Host » Trent Reznor – Musician, Nine Inch Nails » Kat Von D — American Tattoo Artist from TLC’s “LA Ink” » Will.i.am – Musician, Black Eyed Peas |

I sure wish someone would come up with a cure for it, those 1000 crickets chirping in my head are driving me up a friggin wall!
And mine only started about two years ago.

You hear rumors that some cancers have been cured. Wouldn't shock me at all if it were true and only the ultra rich or top government dogs have access to them. |

I go to bed every night with my tablet playing either music or a tv show to drown out the ringing. I have also found that if it is raining and I open the windows (Only if wife isn't home) I sleep better. I have tried rain, white, black, and many other noises on my tablet or ipod to help me sleep. Wind is one thing that doesn't help...... |

Sometimes you don't notice it until someone brings it up or asks why you have the TV or radio up....and then it's there again, (never really left). If you don't have it it might be hard to understand. Ancient times they thought it was a curse or witchcraft. People have even commited suicide over having tinnitus. WebMD (who I do like) has a great write-up on tinnitus:
http://www.webmd.com/search/search_r...query=tinnitus If your tinnitus may be a symptom of a medication or other temporary thing you might find some relief. If it's more permanent, no cause well good luck, they talk about masking and all those kind of fixes, good luck with that. |

Just like my wife's niece, just found out she has MS, the team of specialists aren't talking miracles, just what's ahead. Let's hope for the best. ![]() Last edited by mjp28; 07-21-2012 at 06:39 PM.. |

WebMd makes plenty of money as does the ATA or who ever you are pimping.
None of the cancer research or autism research and anything like that is going to find a cure. Bilking people out of money is what they are after. If they find a cure their money train is OVER. |

OK, I can't bite my tongue any longer. My sister, a girl that used to work for my sis & bro. in law, and a friend of mine have all beaten cancer with alternative treatments. About 7 or 8 years ago the girl that worked for my sis and BIL was on 20/20, she was so excited to get the word out, but all it was, was the big pharma trying to downplay it as a scam. My friend was just given up to a year to live, with no hope of even being prolonged. He went to a clinic in Ecuador for two months and is now back home with a clean bill of health. Big difference between curing a disease and just treating the symptoms.
http://ncresearch.org/ And yes you can find all sorts of info on the internet saying this is a scam. Try telling that to someone who thought their life was over, but was given a second chance. BTW make that 4 people I know of, I forgot one that I don't know real well, but his was cured here in the U.S. before big pharma ran nc research out of the country. |

And yes there are occasional nonstandard cures for some things, there are way more that have no miracle cures of any kind. My wife just found an ad for "Ring Relief" available at many drug stores, America's #1 selling Tinnitus homeopathic product.....blah, blah.... 1-888-969-6855 or TRPCompany.com Want to call? I might later, probably another BS product. ![]() |
