Lamentations Chapter 5:
1. Remember, O LORD, what is come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach.
2. Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens.
3. We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers [are] as widows.
5. Our necks [are] under persecution: we labour, [and] have no rest.
16. The crown is fallen [from] our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!
21. Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.

It happened in 2009 and he was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and fined $1000, rumor also has it that he paid off the victim to avoid a civil lawsuit.

Here is a prime example of How things work. He is a member of the elite government. Not a mere citizen. The laws we have to live by don't apply to them.

Although I believe this is an old story, it does point out the elitist hypocrisy that permeates our political system. We need a Constitutional Amendment that forces elected officials to be subject to the same laws that are applied to ordinary citizens. That would include, but not be limited to Social Security and health care.

Dianne Feinstein has a concealed carry permit and she is ALWAYS packing.

It's only the great unwashed masses who they want to keep helpless, the rich people defend their own lives.

Feinstein is an anti-gun Senator who still somehow found the fortitude to obtain for herself a concealed firearms carry permit, a privilege she wants to deny others.

The proposed "28th Amendment" has been kicking around for years. Maybe it's time to bring it out to the front again.

"Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States".

Here's the thorn in our side. Who's going to pass that amendment? Congress? Nope...no motivation. 2/3 of the states? Nope, the congressmen are connected at the state level, obviously.

So....really the only way to get that amendment passed is to cohesively send a message to our congressmen that if they do not pass this, we will vote out anyone who did not vote in favor of it.

How to send the message? Get some form of nonprofit/whatever formed with signed petitions from private citizens and then forward that information to our officials. Then here's the key...ACT on it. Follow through with the threat and vote every single one of them out. I do not think it would be difficult to convince people on all sides (left, right, middle, commie, libertarian) of the aisle that congress should be subject to the same laws.

It is actually possible to control these goons, we just need to be united, not divided.
