I have a Winchester model 70, Sn. says its 1976, Its a 22-250.
It has ebony fore end cap and grip cap, also has jeweled bolt and knurled bolt handle. Have looked thu dozens of model and cant come up with the exact model name. It apears to be a Super Grade but cannot find a 22-250 in that class. 22 inch bbl. not bull barrel, Fancy walnut stock nice checkering. Any help -- Whats is it worth?

I have a similar 22-250 M70 #G117XXX. This rifle has ebony forend and grip cap but has been fitted with a Niedner butt plate. The checkering appears to be machine done-not impressed. The walnut stock is of good quality but not fancy. This rifle had been re-bored to .35 Whelen by Robert West by a previous owner. Thinking was that this rifle by been modified which was being done in the early 1990's. Sorry no photos.
