Default Glass Powered Flicker by Bear

My Dad used this bow when he was a kid and I'd like to use it to hunt now. I have no way to know how old it is, but it has no cracks and the glass isn't broken anywhere. Is there any way to see if it's good to go other than string it up and go for it?

with no cracks and IF it was stored correctly, it should be OK. only 2 ways to be sure,
find a compent bow repair person and pay them to test it..or string her up and proced to test carefully...quarter draw,release..inspect and listen for cracking sounds..repeat at half draw...then 3/4 draw..then full draw...if at any time you see cracks develop or hear cracking sound..SLOWLY let off draw and unstring....DO NOT DRY FIRE IT! EVER!!!!..inspect before each use and do not leave in a hot dry enviroment and it should be good for many more years...

the one sure way is to find a good archery pro shop and have them inspect it if every thing is good than it would be a great way to connect with your dad if not hang it on the wall

If you string it, look for any twist to the limbs.

5. Our necks [are] under persecution: we labour, [and] have no rest.
16. The crown is fallen [from] our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!
21. Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.
