Default H&R Top Break .38 S&W Serial Number Question

I have an H&R .38 S&W top break which has a serial number of 769. It is in 90-95% condition and I am curious to when it was manufactured. It is a First model and seems to be have made on or before 1905, possibly earlier.

Can anyone help me out with any information.

Thanks

There are so many models we need at least a picture to guess which one...
could be any of about 28 different models...
