Default Winchester 1887 lever action 12 ga

Does anyone know if the 1887 Winchester lever action shotgun will cycle the small 2 inch or 2 1/4 inch light pressure shells made by Polywad and others?

Might check at SASS forum and ask there. Some of those guys use the old lever shotgun.
