74 pound is the biggest i've got here ( actually he caught himself it got caught in a kids guinea pig hutch ) ate the pigs before they could stop it but he did throw a board over where it had broken into the cage trapping it

we just wont a court case here the PETA partners here ( Animal rights Australia) threatened the judge that if he did not ban cat shooting they'd shoot him

judge told em that by helping cats destroy the native habitats that they where environmental vandals and charged them with such so the lefty greenys are environmental vandals who want our native species wiped out to save what they call a pet

lock em in a closed room with one of these "pets"

( cant as someone did that and got locked up as the ferals are recognised as dangerous)

OH! this ones too good not to share.. If you have kids its epic entertainment too.

Of course you need to own a cat or 2..

Go outside and catch a jar of grasshoppers. Then teach your 5 year old to tie the grasshoppers to a piece of thread (we raided my wifes sewing drawer). Make the thread about 10-15 feet long and tie the other end to your kids finger. No worries the thread breaks long before the finger does Just let the grasshopper hop tied to the string. the 5 year old will think its the best thing ever. then let the cat in. the cat will almost immediately notice the grasshopper and attack it. the hilarious part is the kid will pull the grasshopper away trying to save it while the cat goes nuts trying to catch it. the cat will win and you will have to re-tie another grasshopper to the thread for your kid. but its great entertainment.

There is nothing to get mad about regarding humorous comments.
At the Y one time, we were in the pool area when the kids swimming classes started. The entire aquatic center FILLED with screaming, running, crying curtain climbers.
A bachelor friend of ours stood there in the water with us, waist deep, as the churning of little arms and legs almost engulfed all three of us. He looked around and said "Where are the alligators when you need them!"

I would not dream of getting offended because he suggested kids should be eaten by alligators; he was displaying a keen wit, and one that adults can appreciate.

Just as I appreciate that cool cat-carrier.

What I cant believe is that this thread started out as a question on who owns such beautiful animals and then ends up as a thread that continues with such inhumane opinions. Come on folks, lets just all get along and keep your abusive comments to yourself. Hell, lets get a beer and forget. I love this forum and I dont want to debate with anybody. Love your dog, and hate cats but keep it to yourself. I feel sorry for people who abuse animals because they will burn in my opinion hotter than a plasma cutting torch arc in hell. Have a good night.

if they are controled trained tagged and chipped ( so if they get lost a idiot like me can spend 4 bloody hours catching it so another shooter dont blow it away ) fine

like all pets people must be responcible for them

and if done so are great companions

i'm a guy who walks down the street with 20,000 other veterans on ANZAC Day with a cockatiel on my shoulder

critters are great..

but at the same time ever seen a budgy plague ?

maybe 20 million in one flock ?

all landing on a farmers wheat field at once

i'm sorry if folks see animal control as animal cruelty

and i'm sorry that humour is sometimes offencive to others

but i find the attitude of deeply offended , offensive

i've been told i'm not a Christian and let is slide

i;'ve been called a liar ,

i've been called stupid , moron , my nation denegraded

and we must let is slide

but you get a tiffy and everyone must bow down and apologuise ?

:x

Make no mistake. they are not protecting your wife and child. they are simply eating snakes, its natures way. All is well until one decides its ok to attack your child. or maybe your curious child decides its ok to try to pet one and gets bit or worse.. What do you do then? Im bettn money you look at your childs mangled face and grab your gun and rid yourself of some feral barn cats..

BTW, I like snakes. I used to have several pet snakes. They are fascinating creatures. And in context you seem to dislike snakes, which means youve probably killed many of them without thinking twice about it. So by your own deduction youve committed animal abuse yourself and are disqualified from having such a strong opinion on the matter.

This is the duality of man at its finest.. Everythings ok with me as long as it doesnt piss me off mentality.. No doubt stemmed from those self entitlemants liberal america enflicts upon todays generations..

Honestly though. I could care less what others think. Im one that does what hes got to do. Sometimes that consists of shooting a stray animal or three to make life around the house a little easier on everyone.

At this point i see nothing at all wrong with the thread the way its going. I find the banter a bit refreshing. Who doesnt love a good debate? If you dont like the direction its going feel free to log off and go have a beer, heck have 2. I see no reason to stop a good discussion because 1 or 2 like to wear thier feelings on thier sleeves.

Wow...simply unbelievable. Seems I can't get away from the controversy. I'm staying away from the religious forum to avoid hassles, and then ask a simple question here, about cats of all things, and it turns into a food fight.

Maybe this is a good time to intentionally drift to talk about the attitude we bring to these discussions and the tone with which we communicate our thoughts. It seems like the "feel" of this forum has been changing. It's certainly not the same forum it was when I joined four years ago. It isn't even the same as it was one year ago.

It seems like there's an awful lot of tension as if people are just waiting for a fight. Maybe it's the times and the political climate. I know I feel stressed too, but there's no reason to take it out on others.

It would seem that a few of our members are in need of an attitude adjustment, and maybe a couple more that need to grow up a bit. Whatever needs to happen, there is no reason in hell why anyone's sense of humor, twisted as it may be, should be met with such scorn. Becoming hostile over someone's preference in pets is just sad, and yet almost laughable in it's absurdity.

I like Italian food, but hate Chinese. Am I gonna fight about it? Are you going to get offended if I make a tongue in cheek comment about the sound of barking dogs coming from the kitchen at a Chinese restaurant?

Ninety percent of the people on TFF are able to communicate their opinions in a pleasant and courteous way, but a few of you are just wound too tight and need to take a deep breath and relax before you type. We have some great members here and this is a great forum. Let's not blow it.

Honestly Josh, you are just sick. Anyone who likes those vile, nasty, crawly things is a pervert. Who are you anyway, the son of Satan?

And yeah, I kill every snake I see. What are you going to do about it?

Just Kidding.

Ill throw some mongolian stir fry in your eye.

I do like snakes tho. Both to eat (they are quite delicious fried like fish.) as well as a pet. They are fascinating to watch them eat live rodents. Very silent and efficient killers, and powerful. Guess I am a little wierd huh..

Snake lovers, migrate to TN.
It is illegal to kill ANY snake in this state except in self defense.
That means it has to be poisonous and attacking you.
Funny how every copperhead or rattler that I have encountered near our house has attacked me.

I used to have a Corn Snake who liked Hamsters.

Seriously I have two cats, and I like them. But,
you can't compare them to a dog. Dogs love us,
cats, only love you if they are hungry.
