remove magazine, pull down on front of trigger guard to unlock it and then retract slide to the rear fully, lift rear of slide off frame and slide it forward and off.
Very similar to a PPK

Thanks JLA, the trigger guard was so tight it took all my pulling power to move it, thats why I thought it must have been another way. Anyway,its off now thanks to you,much appreciated.

yessir. Some of them can be very tight. My wifes stainless CZ83 is very tight. But I have seen well worn examples that would pop loose under recoil.. Not Cool..

When I got this one apart,it was coated around the release part in what looked and felt like rust,except it was a very dark grey almost black colour, took quite an effort to clean it off.It hadn`t caused any pitting, but it was like a metal based glue, don`t know what the previous owner needed that for because it functions extremely well without it. Thanks again for the info.
