Finally made it to the range. Ah I feel like a whole new man. 1st stop, Carl Jr's (Hardys for you guys to the east) for a breakfast burger. My favorite meal before I shoot. 2nd stop, trap range. Shot 3 rounds of trap. 20, 21, and 20. Not to bad for having not shot in about 3 or 4 months. Happened to be a trap comp today. So I picked up a range bag full of good hulls. Sweet. Next stop, the BLM range. Only shot about 100rds because the BLM closes at noon, due to fire season. Oh well, picked up a crap load of range brass. Even got the elusive 38spl shells. Hardly ever find those. And those are the ones I actually reload. Even had a guy give me 50 of them. Came home cleaned, my 357 and my 3 year old says, "daddy, can I see all your guns?" Ah bliss. Took him and my daughter into the bedroom and showed them the arsenal.
Now I'm gonna go have a beer and ponder life's most difficult question. Do I shoot to reload, or do I reload to shoot?

That is an awesome day except I didn't get to go. Ya, those Carl's Jr. burgers sure are good, especially the ranch burger with large fries and bottomless beverage of your choice. Mmm, mmm, good.

I didn't even shoulder a gun this weekend. and this week I am paying it forward in anticipation of next weekend. saturday at 4:30 I hook my boat up to my Snap-On guys truck and head to the river for some serious walleye time. then on Sunday I take my oldest son and his friend to do our special version of trap. DOVES!!!!!! we each have 4 boxes of shells and a bunch of decoys all ready to go.

I have trouble deciding which I like best, shooting or reloading... I guess shooting but it sure is fun to stuff ammo together.
sounds like a good day, probably won't shoot until Thursday myself...
