Default Let's do our own poll....

We have polls showing Obama ahead by 5 points, others showing Romney ahead by 3...

Let's do our OWN poll....at least we won't be "oversampling" Democrats like most of the national polls are doing...

Really simple, WHO are you voting for this year?

And yeah, it is ANONYMOUS...so be truthful....

I'll take Romney/Ryan in the Presidential Finals and the Bruins in the Stanley Cup Finals.

I would hope all you need to do is ask who is voting this year. There should not be a single person on this site that would repeat the 2008 disaster. But what do I know?

This poll is even worse than oversampling Democrats to try and determine who will win the election. The outcome is obvious and doesn't mean a thing and doesn't tell me anything I didn't already know, "the people on this website are overwhelming anti=Obama"

I'm gonna pee my vote away and vote for a 3rd party guy, who can't win and even if he was popular enough to compete, would split the Republican vote and give the big O the win anyways. So there's no option for me in your poll

Yea right, and if you believe that I got some soon to be ocean front property to sell you in Arizona

The problem is there are so many who claim to be "conservative self thinkers" who can't even see they are so indoctrinated into the "Rep vs Dem" institution that they will vote for anybody, no matter how evil and corrupt they are, as long he was Republican just so a Democrat doesn't win. Vice versa as well, vote for a coke addict for mayor of DC simply so a Rep doesn't win.

Instead of saying "a vote for a third party is a vote for Obama" people should say "I boast that I am my own person and can think for myself, but actually I have bought into the 2 party system so deep that I will mock anyone who even attempts to change it therefor continuing the country on the downward spiral".

A more realistic statement would be "a vote for Romney is a vote for Obama" since you are voting in the same person with the same globalist elites making the decisions behind them.

The sad truth is, "that statement is sooooo true".

There is very little that will change with Romney winning the election. I will still vote for Romney, since it is the lesser of 2 evils, but I don't expect much to change.

We desperately need a viable 3rd party candidate in this country who will do what's right for the USA instead of what's right for the rest of the world.

Anyone who says the Republican party is Conservative, doesn't have a clue of what Conservatism really is. They are just "more" Conservative than the Democrats, but still, IMO liberal.

To true. I vote Rep because the alternative sucks. I will soon be renouncing my republican status for that of the conservative party. I will continue to vote for the republican for pres, until we can remove the rep party as one of the major two. CampingJosh and I have already fought this out in another thread. A 3rd party candidate can't win. I'm all for killing off the republican party and demoting them to 3rd party status. But it aint gonna happen this year.

Is Romney any better than Obama? Hell yes he is. I don't believe Romney wants to destroy the country and put it under Islamic rule.

Do I like Romney? No F'in way. Can't stand the guy

Do I like voting for the lesser of 2 evils. No I don't but the dem's arn't split like we are. So we either have a major overthrow of the republican party (I'm all for it by the way) or continue to vote the lesser. But this is not the year to overthrow the republican party and install a 3rd party as one of the top two. That time has passed, and its to late to do it for this election. Now if we are smart, we will do it right after the Nov election. And have someone ready to supplant Romney in 2016. We have 4 years to do it

I changed my status from Republican to Libertarian just prior to the re-election of GWB.

The problem with this as the last few election is it is not who is the better candidate but who is the lesser of the two evils. Again we have the problem with the folks on the right are so upset at the choice we where given many will go to a third party thus helping the left. Until we get a strong no bs candidate that all of the non left can stand up and say hell yes we want that person then we will continue with this path.

Amen! If George Washington came back from the grave today, he couldn't win this election! (Actually, he would be way, way too conservative to win ever again. He would make Ron Paul look like a left-winger.)

Right now is the time to start planning for the 2016 election. Start fund raising now. Start voter education now. Lay the groundwork to get on every ballot. Otherwise we'll get four years down the line, and we'll be in this exact same spot, choosing the candidate that we vehemently disagree with the least.

Appliancedude, we're really not that far off.

Hell, as bad as the Obammy years have been I would be happy to have Clinton back in the White House. Despite all his shenanigans with interns and the other help, I never felt like he wanted to destroy our Country. I couldn’t stand Clinton in the slightest, but in light of what we have now he seems pretty middle-of-the-road.

Aint that the truth. I never in my wildest nightmares would have thought I would miss Clinton. He was wrong on every level, but at least he had America's best interests at heart. Or at least I felt he did anyways. I never thought he was not out to destroy our country.

Default Re: Let's do our own poll....

Yeah, this poll WAS tongue in cheek, but was meant to serve a purpose.../

To smoke out the "Sitting out" and the misguided "3rd Party" voters.

Guys and Gals, this two party system HAS served us well for over 200 years, and is EXACTLY why we HAVE survived 236 years since our Revolution.

Look at ANY other Coalition, multi-party democracy anywhere in the world! THe only one that seems to make it work at all is Israel, and it is easy to stay focused with the Wolf constantly at the wall, much less throwing a couple of hundred missiles and rockets at you every year!

Do YOU want to be a member of some "Christian- Democrat" or 'Socialist Labor" party with like 12% power?

The system we have is not perfect, but it IS what we have and like my Dad used to say,"You gotta dance with the girl you got!"

YES third parties come along and replace established parties...heck both we have NOW replaced either the Federalists or the Whigs or whatever, but ONLY when the time is right, and NEVER when the 'Wolf is at the door...."

EXCEPT maybe the Republicans replacing the Whigs, if you consider 500,000 dead Americans from the Civil War which followed shortly after....

No guys, this is our FREEDOM on the line this year, probably the most important election in History.

This is it guys, Do we still defend FREEDOM or are we ready to be a full-fledged European Socialist Cradle to Grave nation dependent on the Government for EVERYTHING.

For all you guys who say there is no difference to either party, sorry, my only advice is just SHUT UP.

Now is not the time.

It IS now ONLY Obama or Romney.

And we ALL have a job to do.

If we can convince any Obama lovers to switch, fine, but don't hold your breath, they are either ignorant, dependent, morons, or lying bastards that want to get the power and money that comes with being a member of the new "Aristocratic Class.) It's a losing battle there.

Independents? ANYONE who hasn't made up their mind by now is either LYING or not paying attention. I am not worried about them, the liars you won't get (see above, and anyone who just starts paying attention a couple of weeks out WILL swing to the challenger, they always do....)

Where Romney WILL lose this election is if as many of US stay home this year as stayed home last time because "McCain wasn't conservative enough" or "McCain pissed me off when he yelled at Billy Cunningham calling Obama by his full name" or WHATEVER the reason.

NOBODY sits this one out guys, and it is up to US.

For starters, NO more of this Ron Paul/Libertarian crap. It's OVER, you failed to convince enough people at the time it MATTERED (It does not MATTER right NOW, quit crying and get over it for NOW, that does NOT mean you can't start over trying to convince people AGAIN, even RIGHT after this election for 2016...you have that right, but SHUT UP, due your part for FREEDOM, hold your nose and vote for Romney in November.)

THOSE are the people we have to bring in to vote for Freedom, NOW.

And if you know ANYONE at work, at home, at the range, at church, at the golf course, at the boat ramp, in the gun shop, relatives, friends, enemies, whoever....

That you know or SUSPECT (yeah, you have to ENGAGE them, start talking politics in private AND public, that is the ONLY way you find out where they stand, DON'T be shy....) likes their Freedom too...

THEN ask them if they plan to vote. If no ask pointedly WHY NOT? IF they aren't registerd, offer to DRIVE them to the BMV or the courthouse and GET THEM REGISTERED. NOW.

Then offer to pick them up and DRIVE them to the polls on November 6th.

It isn't ENOUGH to just vote yourself. EVERYONE here has to get at least ONE person who was not planning to vote to vote this year, for FREEDOM.

Last time I made some calls, I live an hour from Dayton and Cincinatti, I figured Indiana was safe for McCain, so I was going to volunteer to help drive people in Ohio to the polls, working out of some local REpublican office...but you know what?

I DIDN'T. Too much trouble, would have had to take a personal day from work, Christmas season I have SO much work to do....

I am STILL kicking myself! I could have done so MUCH more for Freedom LAST time, and I DIDN'T.

And look how much FREEDOM it cost us, cost ME over the past 4 years...

I will NOT be kicking myself this year.

We ALL have work to do.

FREEDOM guys. FREEDOM.

Well, the way I read the poll, it appears that we are all voting for Romney/Ryan ticket, except one misguided soul and one illegal alien. So how come there is a better than even chance he will get re-elected. Sometimes, there is no justice in this world.

It is very naive of you to think that a poll of 51 people on a gun forum where the member are overwhelmingly Conservative is in any way, shape or forum, is a good sample of the voters in a country of 315,000,000 people.
