All Shooting at 14 yards with all guns.
First up is my new 8 shot 357! Impressions: Even very hot 357 loads feel like 38s to me, maybe 38+p loads. The weapon is far more accurate than I am. Oh, and the 5 star loaders are just awesome with this gun. I went through about three hundred 357 magnum loads in record time. On and IMHO the moonclips for this gun are useless. Excellent trigger, easily the best production trigger I have ever had on a S&W without a trip to the custom shop. The Gold bead front sight is amazing, why did they ever stop making these?? Anyways, here she is at 14 yards with 158 gr Fiocchi Extrema XTP. Also watch the video - very little recoil ![]() VIDEO: .357 Mag S&W m627-5 5 inch barrel Performance Center ![]() And after nearly 300 rounds: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() _________________________________________________________________________________________ Next up is the Sig 1911-22. I loaded all the mags randomly with CCI, Remington, and Federal (both lead and plated & hollow point and round nose). This dang thing is way too much fun. I lost count of the rounds fired and it never jammed once. Also watch the video - again no recoil. ![]() VIDEO: .22 LR Sig 1911-22 ![]() ![]() ![]() _________________________________________________________________________________________ And the 9mm Shield this range trip marks passing 1,200 jam-free rounds. This time with Hornady Critical Duty 135 grain loads at 14 yards. They were more accurate for me than the 115 grain Critical Defense rounds. ![]() VIDEO: 9mm S&W M&P-9 Shield just passed 1,200 jam-free rounds ![]()

But it really isn't a production trigger. My Pro Series Smith's are sweeter than my standard Smith's, and my PC triggers are far sweeter than my Pro's. And you never said.....did you have fun....? ![]()

Oh, yes! I have never gone through so many rounds of 357 at such rapid succession before. This is going to cost me a fortune in ammo!!!!

Excellent range report Mesing2!
Thanks for sharing. Those Smith's are know for reliability. I have never had a jam with mine at 2,000 rounds now.
