Well worth the trip fellas!

Bring your butt down a couple days early. We can have some fun here.
And then all carpool or convoy on down.

This was my first TFF BBQ but it won't be my last. I'm glad I was able to make it down for it. Sam and everyone else certainly go all out to put on a great shindig! As someone who has organized events for many years, I know how much work (and money) they put into it. They work hard for us so I want to make sure they know we appreciate it.
I really enjoyed meeting and spending time with everyone. I knew I would. This is a great group! I didn't really come there intending to sing but thanks to everyone there for putting up with me! When you have a great guitar player like that there, you gotta take advantage of it! And the late night singalong was great to! Can't wait till the next one!

Here are a few more random pictures of the festivities.

This picture was taken on Friday as I was just getting to the BBQ area. This is from across the pond into the covered area. I want to thank Dan Bailey for allowing us to gather here again this year. I did not get any pictures of him this year.

Here is one of some of the folks there, there were small groups of people every where just talking and having a great time.

On the right is Mrs. Shooter45 (Kaye) and one of her guests playing horseshoes. It took them a while to chase that horse down to get his shoes.

Another small group of folks chatting. There is Carl on the right checking the forum on Myles' laptop. There is Ozo over there on the left giving instructions, or telling a wild story (about the same).

This crazy dog (Ada) would never stop. If you threw a stick 1000 times, she would go get it and bring it back for the next one. She would never shake the water off at the edge of the pond, she would wait until she got right in the middle of a group of people, drop the stick, and then shake like crazy. I had about 30 pond water, dog infested showers. I would finally just move quickly away when I saw her coming.

Josh and Myles standing and Carl still looking at the computer.

The few problems with the world that were left over after Dan and Sam missed (in one of the earlier pictures) were finally worked out here with Myles and Dale.

We left Dalton, around 10:30AM Sunday morning, and made it home last night around 8:30PM. Lot's of bathroom stops, and food, and drink stops. Got up this morning a little late, took care of a few things that needed attention, and posted some photos on http://www.thefirearmsforum.com/show...=105580&page=8 Didn't even look to see if some one else had started another thread! Checked the rain gauge this morning and had 3". It's been raining all day, man we really needed this rain!

Words cannot describe the pleasure I had with the people that attended this year's TFF BBQ. The camaraderie was unbelievable. Most of you have already expressed my feelings exactly.
I left Dalton about 10:30 CST and arrived home about 6:30. I was so exhausted from the trip up there and the sleep I lost while there and the trip home I didn't even unload the truck, I just showered and went to bed.

However, I would like to say that Pink.com (OZO) has started an excellent thread. Not may times he can do that. But this time he made it. Thanks to all for the pictures. There's not much left to be said, ya'll have described it very well, so guess I will start downloading pictures and working on the Storyboard. Give me 2-3 days and I will try to come up with a good one this time.
Glad you all had fun. If you had as much as I did then it was worth the trip.
George,(Fly King), has your lips stopped burning yet? More to come on Fly King in the Storyboard. LOL.

Sheesh, I don't know guys. If the 3 of us got together I can see it now. There wouldn't be a tub of thin mint left on the route to the TFF barbecue. Sounds kind of fun. My wife just told me to tell you guys that she will auction me off to you guys for a week. Highest bidder gets one of my revolvers? Oh, she's a funny girl.

Well the guy in the red hawaiian shirt is George Moody. And the one in the Brown Hawaiian shirt is Myles Bryant, you knwo him as Carver. The fellow hes speaking with at the picnic table is Dale, you know him as Songman. Jona Swain, the man you know as Ozo is the one dressed like the mailman, and Carl, the man you know as Woodnut is the one commandeering Myles' laptop above.. Dan Dixon, you know him as DoubleD is the one sporting the NRA gear. That was the main gathering if this forum this go round.

Myself
Sam
Carl
Dale
George
Myles
Dan

And lots of friends and family.
