But you can play very well Dan. It doesnt take mutch to get the 'ear' for the style youre playing along with. My dad used to play the base and he played C&W. Then he got mixed up at a gig with a rock band my uncle was in and they needed a base player in a mad hurry. So my dad relented, albeit a bit reservedly. And within a couple days of playing along side them his ears became accustomed to the style. ANd the neat thig is it builds versatility. Not many folks can successfully switch from one style to another and play well. And what you did play with them you played very well.

Every time I read this thread, it makes me smile.

Sometimes I just laugh out loud.

I hope everyone had as much fun as I did and I can't wait until next year.

I went over today and brought home my smoker and after the 6" of rain we had yesterday, the lake is full.
Go figure ?????

The reason I said that is because I have never met Dan but I kind of imagine him as a high energy guy. Blue grass, that's good stuff right there.

Don't give up on me.

Carver, I did get the pictures, Thanks. I got some from you, Sam, George, Josh, and OZO, so I have plenty pictures. It's just finding time to go through all of them and picking the ones I need to use.
Thanks to all.

I was working on the storyboard this morning and came upon this picture that someone sent me, don't even know who it was that sent it, since I got well over 100 pictures from the guest at the BBQ.
I remember us talking about the bass, but didn't know I had a picture of it.
This is the bass that won the tournament on Dan's little lake. Some one said that it weighed 6lb 8oz.
I just could not wait until the storyboard was finished to post this picture. Just wanted to prove to people that there is fish in Dan's lake, and some nice ones at that.
More to come when I get the time.

That's the 'rubber bass' that is on my trailer ball.
It plugs in to the trailer harness, and the eyes light
up red and the whole fish wiggles when you step on the brake.
Grandkids bought it for me at BassProShops.

That's kinda what I was figuring, either that or Carl spend the last few days trying to PhotoChop it in proportion to the big guy..

That was one of those singing bass he took off the board and the whole time he was holding the thing, it was singing "take me to the river" "put me in the water"............

You guys are too funny, you know I would not pull your leg. Just ask Josh. He'll set you straight. DD, I'm surprised at you, you were there, I don't see how you could have missed the tournament, unless you were playing that musical instrument
