Hillary Welcomes Global Gun Ban
![]() http://freedomoutpost.com/2012/09/un...-media-sleeps/ The United Nations Small Arms Treaty passed in its second session. The Media was silent over its passage. Ahhh yes, the cries of terrorism and drugs and bogey men for the passage of the treaty. This comes from member nations who knowingly promote these kinds of things. Even the United States is now in the midst of a scandal involving gun-walking, known as Fast and Furious, and at least one man arrested has come forward and said that Fast and Furious was all about arming drug cartels in Mexico, never about tracking them. All countries signed the declaration. Right about now you are probably thinking, so what? As long as the Senate doesn’t ratify, all is well. Ask yourself if you are familiar with the United Nation’s Agenda 21. The Senate didn’t ratify that. Instead Bill Clinton basically passed it by executive order. So it is perfectly feasible that this will be implemented over a period of years, but very short years. Legislation is currently before Congress to put the squeeze on those of us wishing to maintain our Second Amendment rights. By the way, what has been covered during the past week? Oh that’s right, some anti-Islamic film, nude pictures of Duchess Kate and a few political gaffes. - Tim Brown

They never let a good crisis go to waste. It never hurts to have a diversion to prevent the public from realizing they are being screwed until its too late!

Ok - before anyone gets overly upset or concerned about this treaty - you can all relax. I have read the entire treaty. As in most (if not all) UN treaties, there isn't a lot of substance in this one. The treaty is full of the term 'illicit arms' - these being guns sold by gunrunners to areas of conflict. The only item with any substance at all is the Programme of Action and the International Tracing Instrument. The Program of action part is also typical watered down UN treaty text. All it does is have the signatories meet and review what they have done to stop 'illicit cross border arms transfers'.
So far, the only details in the 'Tracing Instrument' are making sure that firearms have serial numbers. Well, we already have that. Part of this entire treaty also deals with illicit manufacture of firearms. So guys - please don't start your own metal works in your garage and make pistols or rifles then sell them to Islamist groups (or anyone else for that matter). That is all there actually is in the treaty. So, it's basically just another watered down useless treaty from the UN. There aren't any actual targets to achieve, no numbers presented on where these 'illicit' firearms are going or where they were supposedly sent from and no 'punishments' for countries who don't meet the non-existent targets. Now, those bills before our Senate are much more disturbing than this useless treaty. Having to buy ammo in person. Sales of over 1000 rounds having to be registered. Ban in internet sales. This is BAD BAD BAD. There are a couple other bills that are also very disturbing. Child Gun Safety And Gun Access Prevention Act Of 2011 This one raises the age of ‘Juvenile’ to ‘under 21′ with penalties for transfer of guns, ammunition, high capacity clips to anyone under 21 who might commit a crime. This one is bound to pass, because of the New Speak in the title. The socialists will love it. Gun Show Loophole Closing Act of 2011. It is H.R. 591, in the House and S.35 in the Senate. It would permanently ban Gun Shows if passed. Fix Gun Checks Act of 2011. This one penalizes states that don’t report enough violators to the National Instant Criminal Background Checks. In the Senate it is S. 436. This last one makes me wonder a little. How many violators is 'enough'? Are the states supposed to start convicting innocent gun owners of fake violations in order to report a number that is 'enough'? Last edited by WHSmithIV; 09-19-2012 at 11:52 PM.. |

the ammo thing is killing me. So if I buy 1000 rounds, i'm the next mass murderer but as long as I only buy in 999 or less, I could in no way do anything wrong?
who's to stop someone from making multiple small purchases over a short time that could easily equal many thousands of rounds. And how many of these mass shootings does the shooter use more than 100 rounds? it's nonsense.... more false security just like the TSA. going to stay tuned to this though, curious to see how it shakes out

I totally agree! Get the U.S. out of the U.N.! This might be a bare bones treaty, but you can bet your last dollar that the door has opened a little wider, and it won't take long before they start adding a little flesh to those bones!

Who defines "Illicit Arms"? If it's Washington officials, our necks are already in the noose!Like California's definition of "assault rifles"---Any type of weapon used in a war, which includes my flintlock muzzle stuffer! On Letterman--Obama said the debt is not a problem in the near future, but could be a problem later on. In otherwords.this Nation is in a minefield, and Obama has no idea what to do, and obviously no plan to correct the situation. Obama, first dictator of the former Republic of the United States!

I can not find any reference to it on GOA site. I can't find any reference to
it on any other site, but one listed above.
