Can anyone tell me what years the Hopkins and Allen model 922 were produced? It is a 22lr/22 short single shot falling block rifle design.

Well, the .22 LR was developed in 1887, and H&A closed it's doors in 1915, so you have a 18 year window. BTW, are you sure it is not a .22 Long and 22 short?

Think you might be thinking of the Harrington and Richardson 922 which came out in the late '30's . My well worn copy of Sotoeger's Repro catalog of 1939 for $10.00 Think I uploaded a picture for you to compare it to

According to DeHaas-
hopkins and allen rifles made 1888-1915 model 922 falling block -- small action = 22,25,32,38 rimfire and 32,28 center fire - take down - medium action and large action - the larger actions were apparently made both as larger caliber rifles and shotguns. His info is rather sparse without dates of manufacture - my tuppence -- |
