I found this gun in my step grandmothers jewelry box serial number on the bottom of the trigger 36418. I am wondering first how old it is, does it have a safety and what caliber is it. Also the trigger is very hard to pull back is that normal for this fire arm or is it simply a matter of a good cleaning and oiling?

Last known serial number with letter code D is D55850 so I'll assume the 8 is actually a 3 like you first indicated. S.N. "D36418" equates to year 1926.
Like most revolvers the safety is simply not pulling the trirgger. Welcome to TFF. |
