Default Shotgun question.. Savage Arms/ Harrington & Richardson Arms Co.

Hello, I recentlly aquired a couple of shotguns and am wondering what how old they are.One is a Savage Arms Stevens M77f 16 gauge pump action,2 3/4" chamber...serial A115224. The other is a Harrington & Richardson Arms Co. Topper M48 20 gauge single shot, break action with the serial I 5827. Also what might be the price range on these if possable.. thanks.

I must admit that I made a mistake when I made the post earlier.. that was all my fault.. I have since corrected it. I was looking at my Winchester when I was typing. Sorry for the screw-up.

Savage-Stevens listing I have shows...
Model 77 slide action repeater,
made 1954-1971,
26" barrel has IC choke, 28" has M or F choke,
Gauges 12, 16, 20
5-shot tube mag,
weight 7.5 pounds,
plain pistol grip stock with grooved slide handle...value dependant on condition, but around $200

Model 77-AC
same as above except has Savage Super Choke...also around $200, give or take...

That's all I have on the Savage 77's...

The H&R M48 Topper
made from 1946-1957,
Similar to the old Model 8 Standard, single-barrel w/hammer, and takedown shotgun...
Gauges 12, 16, 18, 20, & .410,
Barrels-Plain: 26"-30" M or F choke,
Weight: 5.5 to 6.5 pounds dependant on gauge and barrel length,
Plain pistol-grip stock and forend.
Worth around $125-150 in excellent condition...

Sorry, no found gold with these two...

Thanks Big Shrek, I appretiate it. After giving it a good cleaning I have discovered that the barrel is quite rusty on the inside and in my opinion needs to be replaced. Would you happen to know where I would be able to get a replacement?

It's a shotgun-A little rust on the inside won't affect it all that much. Clean it good & shoot it
