Hi I am also a recent defector from that other nameless, impossible to log into board. I have enjoyed visiting, and thank you for the welcome I have received.
Has anyone had much experience with this pistol? I bought one last week, and have 40 rounds through it so far (it was raining and the range is outdoors), but so far it is quite acceptable. Shoots great, as accurate as I am, no jams or misfeeds. Does anyone else have any experience, or urban myths to share regarding this little gun?

HS2000, not a Springfield.....only now "stamped" Springfield. Nice piece, but it my opinion, way over priced now. Introduced at around 289.00 in late 1999, then bought out by Springfield.....wa-la add two bills. Welcome too! LTS

I have to ditto what LTS said. I think what he said is gospel (factual) on the XD-40. Another board I frequent on tactical shooting speaks very highly of the piece. I would think by
the reviews, you have a solid weapon.
